Elements

Our universe is made of small building blocks.

What we perceive to be nature is actually a composition of the relatively tiny elements that make up our world.

Quarks group into neutrons and protons, which form the nuclei of atoms. Atoms combine to form molecules, and molecules form cells. Cells assemble into organs, organs into bodies, and the resulting living beings organize into increasingly complex social structures.

Notice that this is only one path from all the possible aggregations at each level that take place in nature.

Subatomic particles are held together by the strong interaction, analogous to how molecules are held together by the electric force.
