Resveratrol

Resveratrol is a natural polyphenol.It is a wide ranging biologically active compound synthesized by plants undergoing infectious or ionizing radiation. It actively inhibits cancer cell proliferation and  induces apoptosis. In addition to possessing a very high antioxidant potential, it exhibits anti-tumor activity. It is bioactive as an anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogenic, cardioprotective, vasorelaxant, phytoestrogenic and neuroprotective phytoalexin that staves off parasites, microbes, and fungi. Additionally resveratrol acts as a chemopreventive agent that displays chemotherapeutic properties.
